It isn’t easy to choose a care home. And it’s something that you’ll probably do only once, so the chances are you’re not going to become an expert at it. You’ll likely have to take a lot on trust, and place considerable reliance on first impressions and hope you’ve made the right decision. You’re worried about mum or dad… you know you need to do the best for them, and if the truth be known, you’re worried that you may not really know what that is.
