Some care homes are like five star hotels. Others are very institutionalised. At Hurst Manor, we lay the emphasis on the word “home”. Certainly we’re a duel registered nursing and residential home with all the facilities you’d expect. But first and foremost, we recognise that when someone comes to live with us, Hurst Manor becomes their home, and that’s exactly how we expected to be treated. So here, you’ll find very few rules and regulations – no formal visiting hours and no requirement to be in bed by a particular time, for example. Instead, we’re big on ensuring that each individual who has made their home here gets what they want, if we can possibly provide it.
