Staff at Hurst Manor
It’s the people that make the difference at Hurst Manor.
We know that the way we treat our staff has a direct impact on the
way they look after our residents. We do everything we can to make
sure we’re a good place for which to work. The many people
who regularly apply to work with us without our having to advertise
clearly think that we are. So do many of our staff that have worked
here for many, many years. So do a few who leave, then immediately
apply to rejoin us!
We provide comprehensive training from induction, though the various
levels of NVQ, and on going in service training for qualified nurses.
Sometimes care staff leave us because they want to train as nurses.
While we’re sorry to see them go, we believe that leaving
to become a nurse is one of the finest send offs we can give a departing
member of staff. When they qualify we love to see them return as
nurses!
Apart from technical training, we place great emphasis on working
with our staff to ensure that all of us at Hurst Manor give the
finest possible level of service to residents and that we deliver
the care we offer with sensitivity, love an respect for those we
look after.
